The file hosting and sharing service has been open since 2010. Rapidgator claims to have placed its storage servers at a central network exchange point to guarantee its users the best possible speeds for posting and downloading digital content.

Features

Rapidgator uses storage capacity depending on which cost plan the customer chooses. The download rate for routine users is limited and they have to accept a waiting period before they can download files and solve captcha difficulties. In addition, free users must wait many hours before they can download and install another file.

Rapidgator supports direct document uploads, FTP uploads and remote uploads. The browser-based Document Supervisor can be used to perform standard data management tasks, such as creating folders and moving data. Rapidgator also has a very generous document upload limit of 5GB per file, which surpasses many competitors.

Rapidgator also has an FTP web server that you can connect to using an FTP client such as FileZilla to make uploading your data much easier. All documents uploaded via FTP are stored in the root folder of the Rapidgator account.

Rapidgator can download material directly from any http service on the Internet, and remote downloading from other file blockers is also supported.

Rapidgator is supported by all download supervisors.

Web Interface

Once you have registered with Rapidgator, you can use the instinctive web uploader to transfer individual or numerous data to your Rapidgator account. Once the documents are published, you must manually press the “Get Link” button to view the links for sharing.

The service provides you with a number of options for customizing download links. For example, instead of the standard long links, you can create short web links using the service’s custom rg.to-URL shortening service. You can make them even shorter by removing the filename from the LINK. The solution also generates BBcode for inserting the links into message boards, and you can use the interface to specify the size of the data in addition to the LINK.

By default, the service has only the root folder in which it will publish all data. You can use the web user interface to create more folders and then move the files to them or upload documents directly to the new folders. Rapidgator allows you to share the LINK to the completed folders, not just the private files. The URL will show the list of documents inside, but you will need to download the files separately.

Downloading and installing data has a waiting time for totally free customers, which increases tremendously with repeated downloads. Basically, to enjoy the service for downloads the individual must get a cost plan.

Cost Prices

Like most competitors, Rapidgator has paid and free accounts with limited features. The biggest handicap for completely free customers is the download limitations. Free customers not only have to wait before they can download and install the file, they also get limited speeds, cannot download and install more than one file at a time, and cannot use a download accelerator.

None of these limitations exist for paying individuals, who can download and install files in multiple threads and have the ability to resume interrupted downloads.

Rapidgator’s premium rates are confusing if you don’t understand the solution’s deletion policy. The solution uses a lot of storage for high-cost customers, but automatically deletes all files that have not been downloaded in the last 60 days. If you want to keep your files for essentially a lifetime, you should trade endless storage for limited storage.

The cheapest premium account costs $14.99 per month and offers 1 TB of transfer bandwidth. This allows you to either have unlimited storage where documents are deleted after 60 days of not being exercised, or limit yourself to 3 TB of storage where your documents will certainly never be deleted without your permission. You get comparable alternatives to other strategies that cost you $29.99, $49.99, $69.99 and $99.99 and offer an increasing amount of transfer capacity and also more long-term storage space.

Rapidgator is similar to any other data retention service provider, is well supported by web content uploaders and has proven to be reliable, having been on the internet since 2010

Rapidgator does not offer security features such as end-to-end file encryption or password protection. You also cannot preview documents in your Rapidgator account before downloading them.
